My father had a stroke How do you say "my father had a stroke" in Korean? 내년 제 아버지가 뇌졸중 했어요. (???) I don't know if I can use the verb 하다 like this or not. Thanks!

아버지가 뇌졸중에 걸리셨어요. (걸리다) Last year ->작년 작년에 아버지가 뇌졸중에 걸리셨어요. But we usually say it like '뇌졸중으로 쓰러지다' (fell down or passed out)
