Personnel vs staff
Could You Tell me if in British English is there a difference?
I' ve been told in América they use " staff only for workers of high rank , profesionals.
If I could Have this clarified?
Thank You very much
It's the same here in America. "Staff" is the word we use in everyday speech. "Personnel", on the other hand, is very formal; I see it on signs more often than I hear it spoken. But the two words mean the same thing.

In London it's normal to use "staff" for any level. "Personnel" sounds very formal, I never heard it in spoken language. It's also quite common to talk about "employees".
