What does "on the fly" mean? I found this on a website: " Deleted my answer, which was similar in thought process but designed on the fly (and hence needed to implement various other functions). " Does it mean not realistic? Thanks.

For example, Java Script technology makes an image appearing on your site on the fly. There was no image, but when you click some trigger it appears on the fly. Hope it helps.
