Could anyone explain me the meaning of "doom-mongers". As I understand it can be related to the people who has negative vision of some event.

They are people who see the worst outcome and then tell others about it. Another word for it is "doomsayer".

yes, you are right. It means people who are always spreading bad or negative news. It comes from an old English term, "-monger", which means someone who sold something, i.e., a fish monger (sold fish), an iron monger (sold metal).
