It depends on the context. For instance: if your friend is still at your place (apartment or house) and he/she is about to leave for home, then you may use either the future form or the present simple, like: ''I hope you will get home alright.'' or ''I hope you get home alright.'' However, if your friend has already left for home, and you want to express that she/he may have arrived home safely, you would say: ''I hope he/she got home alright.''
