Is it OK to say " refresh myself " in English ? I know that it's not ok to say " relieve myself " to mean " relieve stress " in English because the former one means to pee or poo , and it's not ok to say " relax myself " to mean relax , cuz it might have some improper connotations ..... am I right about the two phrases ?and I'm not sure about if it's ok to say " refresh myself " to mean " refresh my mind " ? Can anyone solve my puzzles ? Thanks a lot

"I need to refresh myself" has many meanings depending on the context. In most cases, it means you need to go to the restroom. If you looks tired, it means you need to take a rest. If your makeup is not up to par, then it means you need to put on fresh makeup. If you are going to take a test, it means to review your study. https://dictionary.reverso.net/english-definition/refresh+myself

"relieve myself" <- This can also have sexual connotations but you're right about the other meaning too. "relax myself" is ok to me. You might need to put it in a longer sentence to give it more context. "refresh my mind" I wouldn't use "refresh myself" to mean that. I might think you are planning on taking a shower. I might use the phrase "calm myself down" or "destress myself".

amuse myself or entertain myself is fine, I would be specific rather than say refresh myself; ie refresh my make-up, refresh my memory, refresh myself on the talking points. I would NOT say relax myself,

"I need to relax" is best. Just drop the word, "myself."
