which one is correct in this sentence? "Got interested" or became interested"? I liked chemistry but when I grew up, I became interested in physics. Got interested or became interested?

"Became" sounds better. In casual speech it's okay to say "got," but it's much more informal and just doesn't sound as good.

In your sentence, "became" is better than "got", though it doesn't sound natural for other reasons. "I hated science in elementary school but I became interested in physics in high school." for example. However, "got interested" is natural in informal American English. I got interested in cars because of my Dad. They were his passion and he pushed it on me. Since when did Jaden get interested in boys? Language teachers have traditionally hated the word "get" and probably will continue to do so.

Became interested. I’ve never really heard anyone say “Got interested” it doesn’t sound nice at all. :-)
