Hello Dale, the chin and jaw are often in the same way to describe the bone around the bottom of your head and face. Medically speaking, the whole bottom part under your mouth is your jaw on both sides. The chin is the part directly beneath your mouth in the middle, where someone would hit you in sport for example.
