I have many easy questions about business email Hi, I have some questions when I write emails in English for work as shown below. Please advise. 1. Can I say “suggested” as an adjective? A) We are okay with your suggested schedule. B) The suggested schedule was confirmed. 2. As far as I know, “If yes,” is not correct, but it should be “If so,” and “If not or if no,” should be “Otherwise”. Am I correct? Ex) (If yes / If no / If not), please send the material tomorrow. (I think this is wrong.) (If so / Otherwise), please send the material tomorrow. (I think this is right.) 3. Are these sentences correct? Ex) The test is scheduled on 3/5. Ex) The test is planned on 3/5. 4. As far as I know, if I want to use a verb after “help”, I cannot use “to”, am I correct? Ex) Please help me to receive your feedback today. (I think this is wrong.) Ex) Please help me receive your feedback today. (I think this is right.) 5. Please let me know which sentences are correct and incorrect. A) I will send you the material tomorrow. ANSWER: A and B sound very strange to me. B is not right at all. C is almost right. Say instead "This is Jay. It is nice talking with you. D is correct. A) This is Jay. It is nice to contact you. B) This is Jay. It is nice to contact with you. C) This is Jay. It is nice to talk with you. D) This is Jay. It is nice to talk to you. 10. Is there any phrase “visible schedule” in English? ANSWER: I don't know this phrase. I like the words you used later on "updated schedule" or "confirmed schedule" Ex) I am not sure if you already have more visible schedule for this agenda, but we want to have a meeting on 3/5. (When I say “visible schedule”, I mean I want to know if you receive any updated schedule or the schedule is confirmed.)

(I think this is right.) 5. Please let me know which sentences are correct and incorrect. ANSWER: Both are correct, but I would use option A if I was writing the sentences. A) I will send you the material tomorrow. B) I will send the material to you tomorrow.

Also look up "whether". "whether there is an update" ==> yes or no, now. B) Please let me know if there, is any updates. - nope. NOt like this. It usually means, accepted with pleasure, made someone happy. D) Well received the files. - nope. See above. The files were well received = the file were good, made us pleased, they were liked.
