How do you say "where is the bathroom" in Spain versus Latin America? Is it the same? For example, I've used Donde esta el bano, which seems to be understood, but is that how a local in Spain would say it typically?

Yeah, it's the same in question.

For example, you can use this: Dónde está el sanitario?

I have seen many films from Spain and I have heard things like "los aseos", and "los baños", but I think in public establishments it is more typical to say ¿Dónde están los aseos?

Hi! I'm from Latin America, if you say: "¿Dónde está el baño?" it's ok, means "where is the bathroom?". Try to use the Ñ, is important in spanish.
