...too many fake people, too much spam. I hope the italki team will soon do something about the loads of fake people who ask for email or msn contact. I don't know the purpose but I guess it is to send advertisements or even hack the computers. There have been several versions of the text I have been sent so I will not give an example here, but I'm sure most people know what I am talking about.Look... I have been reporting, blocking and deleting the messages of a lot of spammers already and it is seriously getting on my nerves. It IS the responsibility of the italki team to keep this community clean. If they don't do it, they will loose reputation and members. I personally prefer interpals by now and I am going to close my italki account soon if the spam will continue for too long.90% of the time I use italki, I spend on blocking, reporting somebody and deleting their messages. If you tell me there is nothing you can do about it, I wonder what you expect with that attitude. How about enhanced confirmation prior account activation? A limited amount of messages and friendship requests a member can send within the first few days? Go check some other communities such as www.interpals.net. It is not my job to fix your community problems and I am really disappointed that reporting is the only idea you guys can come up with.
