Well...maybe or maybe not... about philosphies. But that thing is just an expression, don't think too much, "holy shit" is like "damn" or "crap" ... not very polite, but really useful ! ^.^ ( specially when you hit your toe against the bloody ***** bed ... OUCH ! =p ) What really matters is what is in your heart, the rest are just words ... and philosophies ! =p (I agree with Peachey... God have more important things than this to get mad about)

Troy's answer is typical holy doublespeak that is the hallmark of all organized religion. You can't have it both ways, Troy. If your god makes sunsets, mountain peaks, oak trees, and and little fishes, then he is also responsible for earthquakes, pedophiles, cancer, and holy shit. Your god made everything, so you have to give holy credit where holy credit is due. I am going to bookmark this page -- your quote "I do not think shit is from God" is an all-time classic. rrooxx: I know for a fact you can find millions of god-fearing people who have lived long, happy, productive lives, and have punctuated their language over the years with innumerable "holy shits", "god damn its", and much much much worse. Obviously, since they have escaped retribution, their god does not give a holy shit.

no, I don't think so... however, you're not pleasing God with this kind of word / phrase. :)

Am I declaring I'm a religious person whenever I say "Oh My God!" or "God"? I'd suggest you just see the situation the phrase is said by people in.
