Sara, "to catch a flick" means to go to watch a movie.  Sometimes, you see the slang word spelled like this: "flic," as well.

That means to go see a movie.  Flick is an informal way to say movie. 
People also talk about "chick flicks"....movies that women are interested in more than guys.
