What's the difference between Stroke; Strike and Beat?

in english, words often have different meanings. stroke as a verb can mean to touch something and move your hand, (like to stroke the head of an animal) strike and beat are synonyms and the difference can simply be that often they are used in different cases, i.e. you beat a drum (but you can also say you strike it). strike is not used often. strike usually means to hit once, beat often has a connotation of striking repeatedly.
