1. a person that says, "my time is up" usually has to do something else immediately, so that person has no more time to keep doing what he or she was doing. 2. a set time limit. a person that has 3 minutes to make a speech might say "my time is up" after 3 minutes. 3. it is also a way of saying, "i am about to die", or "my lifetime is over".

Definition When the time limit has been reached. Also can be euphemism for death or anything coming to an end. Usage of “time is up” : Time's up, the game is over. I thought my time was up. (I thought I was going to die). The senator's time is up (he won't be re-elected).
