I have a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters degree in social work. I love cooking, traveling, movies, and exploring nature. I also love learning from other people about their culture and sharing about my own as well.Me as a Teacher
I taught English as a Peace Corps volunteer in Kyrgyzstan for two years. I worked with students and teachers to develop their English speaking abilities. I also conducted teacher trainings to introduce new methodology. I have worked with English learners of all levels, and I like to teach English by finding connections with the students' native language. I have also worked with American students to develop their reading comprehension for standardized tests (like college admissions tests, etc).My lessons & teaching style
I believe in integrating different styles and teaching methods to help students find the way of learning that works best for them. When teaching material that is new (like vocabulary, grammar, etc), I use activities that draw on different areas of memory. I integrate auditory, visual, and movement to ensure the information sticks. I like to keep lessons flexible to focus on the areas that are most useful to the student I'm working with.My teaching material
