JEONG쌤

I have been taking lessons with Jeong쌤 for a month or so now and her lessons are excellent. I have had a few teachers on iTalki and they have all been pretty good, but Jeong쌤 has been the best for a few reasons. The first is she speaks almost exclusively in Korean the whole time. I have found that this is difficult to start, but helps me to learn much faster. The second is she takes her time and explains complicated concepts in Korean. She has a rare ability to think laterally and explain concepts in multiple ways making it easy to learn. The last is she is incredibly patient. Even when I am having difficulty understanding the concept she takes her time and does not get flustered. As an added bonus she is usually pretty funny too.

The lessons provided by 정쌤 are exactly what I was looking for. She really knows what she's doing ! The lessons are organized and with an appropriate amount of learning material. I also get homework which is very helpful, especially to keep me accountable. In addition to that, she is very encouraging and I feel comfortable with her, which is very important to me. I feel way more confident about taking the TOPIK test and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to pass that test but also just learn korean ! 다음 수업이 너무 기대됩니다~

완전 토픽 시험 전문이십니다. 그동안 토픽 준비를 혼자 했다가 너무 어려워서 포기할까 했는데, 오늘 선생님을 만나니까 갑자기 공부하고 싶은 마음이 강해졌습니다. 원래 어려워 보였던 쓰기 54번 문제는 푸는 방법을 단순화시켜서 이제 나도 할 수 있을 것 같다는 생각이 들었습니다. 혼자 해멨다가 선생님을 제 공부 방향을 바로잡아주셔서 토픽 준비는 쭉 선생님과 하고 싶습니다.

I think she’s very good at speaking Korean and using Korean to teach low level students. Other teachers I have just switch to English during my lessons but she spoke Korean throughout without feeling awkward or anything. Highly recommended if you want to try lessons in Korean but other teachers keep using English.

정쌤 is a great conversationalist and speaks clearly and not too quickly! I really enjoyed our class and know I will be able to improve my Korean. I never felt the need to switch to English during our lesson because of how well the conversation went. I highly recommend 정쌤!

I have been taking lessons with Jeong쌤 for about a month now, and I have really enjoyed it so far! She covers the lesson material very throughly and makes sure that you understand everything before moving on to the next topic. Additionally even though she only speaks in Korean during the lesson, I'm able to follow along without any difficulty and feel much more comfortable with my listening and comprehension skills despite having just started learning Korean. I always look forward to my next class!
