I am a very flexible teacher. If you wish to have more formal lessons in which we discuss grammar, syntax, etc., that is something I am capable of. However, if you want something more informal and casual, I would love to be a conversational partner that you can chill with. I allow you to be in charge of the process!

Formal lessons touch upon grammar, syntax, vocabulary, etc. The format of these lessons would be much more structured. Informal lessons may include discussions of the finer points of the Icelandic language, but can also be less academic and more free-flowing. Either way, I believe that it is important to have discussions and think aloud.

For a non-native, Derek's Icelandic is excellent and I was super impressed. He seems to be good at conversation too, and not all teachers have that strength. I will definitely be back for more conversation practice!
