Hi, my name is Mika and I live in Nagoya (my hometown) ,I also lived in Tokyo for two decades. My favorite things are traveling, shopping, studying language and playing sports. As my job other than italki, I have run my own company for decade in Japan. And in such a world situation, I'm interested in the job of diplomacy and continue to learn about it to support people around the world. As for my personality, I'm energetic, curious, engaging, and fun! 海外や英語の勉強、そして人と接することが好きでitalkiの講師になりました。 現在名古屋に住んでおり、東京にも10数年程住んでいました。 好きなことは旅行や買い物、言語を学ぶことやスポーツをすることです。 italki以外では日本で会社を経営して10年になります。 そしてこのような世界情勢の中で”外交”に興味を持ち、世界中の方々の力になれたらと考え学びを進めています。 性格は活発で好奇心旺盛、そして明るいと思います。

Thanks for today’s lesson, Mika! Today we talked about pop culture, JLPT scoring, and some similarities and differences between Japanese and American school systems. It’s always an interesting and fun conversation with you. お疲れ〜

I had another great lesson with Mikaさん today! We focused on the use of の (no) particles, and she explained everything in a clear and easy-to-understand way. She provided helpful examples and made sure I fully grasped how to use の for possession, description, and connections between words. Her teaching style is patient and engaging, making learning Japanese feel natural and enjoyable. I appreciate how she tailors the lesson to my learning pace. Highly recommend Mika-san to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive Japanese teacher!

I've now had several fantastic lessons with Mika-san. She is fun to talk to and provides a calm, welcoming environment to push my limits and make mistakes. Even when I express things poorly, she understands what I'm trying to say and suggests more natural ways to say it, which is exactly the feedback I'm after. She always provides post lesson notes with new vocabulary and grammar etc. Looking forward to more lessons in the future!

I always enjoy her instruction. she's so kind and charming as well as anxious to explain and clarify for the student. She is proof that an instructor can make all the difference, I greatly appreciate her patience,it's phenomenal.

Mika-san, we had a great class just now. Contrary to most other classes, today we mostly talked about food. It is pretty interesting how often we end up talking about it but there is always new things to discuss. Thank you for making our class today so much more informative and educational. I'm looking to more classes in the future.

Thanks for today’s lesson Mika! Today was a very interesting conversation and we went over some confusing topics and came across some more difficult Japanese terms for me to learn. And as always the time just flew by today. Until next time, お疲れ〜
