Hi, I'm Martina! I grew up in New Zealand and the UK and born in Hungary, so I'm a native speaker of both English and Hungarian, and I also speak Korean!
I'm talkative, friendly, and open to chat about anything. I also really take pride in my work - I have taught thousands of English classes, and I'm passionate about using all of my expertise to help you to achieve your English goals.
I love reading non-fiction, and love talking about philosophy and psychology, as well as food, travel, culture, fashion, and anything else you like!

Although I'm a professional teacher, don't expect lessons with me to be dry or strict! I am friendly and helpful and I always start classes with a good catch-up, but I'm meticulous in giving corrections and formal teaching as well.
I have 3+ years of professional teaching experience, mainly teaching 1-on-1 classes to adult students at a premier English academy in Seoul, South Korea. I have taught thousands of classes to hundreds of students, including business English, test prep, conversation, and more.
My ideal student is someone who wants to engage with native English content and is passionate about incorporating the language into their lives as much as possible!My lessons & teaching style
I have lesson plans for Business English as well as conversation topics and questions so you can challenge yourself with new subjects and vocabulary, and we can also do free talk! I am also a qualified IELTS teacher so if you’re looking for exam preparation, I can help you perfect all four exam areas (reading, listening, speaking, writing) as well as your exam technique and knowledge.
You will have your own online document where I record corrections, grammar, and vocab feedback throughout the lesson - you don’t have to take any notes yourself! I enjoyed the lesson very much. I'd asked Martina to refresh my grammar knowledge a little bit, and it turned out that it could be amusing talking about boring grammar rules. At the end of the lesson, I thought I'd learned a lot, and I was also happy because of the lovely conversation we have had.
I like Martina and the way she talks and explains things to me.
