Hello there! My name is James. I have twelve years of experience teaching English to a variety of learners worldwide. I am an American with a neutral accent. I am TESOL certified with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Filmmaking.Me as a Teacher
I have been teaching English in Taiwanese classrooms for six years. My students range from ages seven to fifty. I've been teaching all age groups online for twelve years.
Additionally, I have tutored university students in preparation for the TOEFL and IELTS exams.
I really enjoy getting to know my students and hearing them express their thoughts in English. :-)My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style has been described as thoughtful, interesting, fun, and understanding. I encourage my students to be honest with me about their thoughts.

When I first started the lesson, I realized that whenever I was speaking, James constantly interrupted and corrected me without explaining why. He didn’t provide any notes, and we hadn’t agreed on this approach before the class started. When I shared some personal things, James made me feel like my feelings were invalid. Overall, James had a very condescending attitude throughout the lesson. Despite having spent many years in Taiwan, James didn’t even speak one Chinese word to me. When the lesson ended, he didn’t share any future plans, didn’t say goodbye, and didn’t seem happy to see me.
