Hi, I’m Clayton! I’m 27 and based in South Africa. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Art and an Honours Degree in 2D Experimental Animation, I am currently finishing my Masters Degree. I’m the General Manager of an art studio.
I love staying active, starting my day with a run, and exploring my creative side through art in my free time. I tutor on Italki because I enjoy helping people improve their English and connect with others from all over the world. Growing up in rural Africa, I’m comfortable communicating with people from all backgrounds. I speak English, Afrikaans, and IsiZulu.

Bachelor’s - Visual ArtsMy studies in art history encompassed a broad range of topics, with a particular focus on African art as well as global artistic movements. I gained hands-on experience in various mediums, including ceramics, painting, and printmaking, before ultimately specializing in animation, where I developed a deep passion for the field.

Master's - Representation in AnimationMy work has primarily focused on the representation within animation, exploring how it reflects and communicates diverse cultures, races, religions, sexualities, and languages. This research has deepened my understanding of the powerful role animation plays in shaping societal narratives.

Bachelor’s - 2D Experimental AnimationI earned an Honours Degree in 2D Experimental Animation, during which I researched and wrote an academic paper while also producing a handmade animation over the course of six months. This experience allowed me to blend theoretical knowledge with practical application, further enhancing my skills in the field.

Clayton is quite polite and broad-minded.If looking for a language partner, he is a pretty good one. He can share any to you.I like this lesson.Even this is my first lesson with him but we can talk in a simple way. Chilled and interactive.
His accent is originally British. Very hard for me but worth learning that accent. Look forward to see in next class.
