Hi everybody! This is I, Mehreen, Sehrish Mehreen. This James Bond reference would demonstrate to you that I have a flare for the dramatics. I additionally have a flare for the English language. The capacity to string together words to form meaningful sentences and pass on one's thoughts, feelings and state is an art that is often underrated. This art, similar to some other skills, can be improved with training. I, myself have improved it over time and would love to help you with your language learning journey. I am also a certified IELTs trainer, so I always excited to share some tips that can help my students jump up a few bands quickly.
Me as a Teacher
My love for imparting knowledge and teaching has stayed persistent in my life. I have recently been involved in a NGO that focused on developing curriculums and training teachers, and that has equipped me to create customised content that caters to the specific areas that trouble my students and help them in the best ways possible . My experience of teaching students from different backgrounds has made me a more versatile educator. Moreover, I myself have learnt English as a second language, so I understand the struggles that my non-native students face during their language learning journey. Hence, I plan my lessons to be fun, interactive and simple.
My lessons & teaching style
I have got some tricks up my sleeves that can make this journey of learning interesting for all of you. In addition, I would love to share all the secret ingredients that will help you excel in your respective languages. Can't wait to see you all during our lessons ! Until then, take good care of yourselves.

Lesson One: This was my first time taking Teacher Sehrish's class. She is patient and highly experienced with IELTS tests, and the class was very informative. Before the lesson, I was anxious about my speaking skills, but afterward, I felt really confident. I'm sure I can ace the IELTS with Teacher Sehrish's help. A big thank you to Teacher Sehrish!

I'm very happy to say that I got a higher grade than I needed (I planned an overall of 6.5 and got 7.5) thanks to Serish who encouraged and prepared me for it. She believed I could get a better mark. She made me very confident for the test and the questions were EXACTLY the SAME as the ones we had practised.
You are perfect Sehrish, God bless you and your family because you have been a blessing in my life. Thank you so much!!!

In lesson seven, I realized I still mispronounce some words with the /ai/ sound. Chinese has a similar sound, but using the same method to pronounce it is definitely incorrect—they are actually quite different. I must admit, breaking ingrained habits isn’t easy. However, many stories remind us that practice makes perfect, and where there's a will, there's a way. So, I hope everyone struggling with English keeps going and works even harder. Time will eventually show that every effort pays off. Anyway, a big thank you to Teacher Sehrish for all her help!

In lesson six, we discussed various topics, ranging from weather, clothing, and food supplements to psychology-related concepts. The class was informative, and I learned quite a few useful expressions. What inspired me most was the concept of the 'arrival fallacy,' which highlights the misconception that happiness will come only once we reach a certain level or achieve a specific goal. I completely agreed with her perspective. Our ongoing happiness is less about reaching destinations and more about finding meaning and contentment along the journey. I hope everyone can not only achieve their goals but, more importantly, has the ability to choose and feel happiness. A big thank you to Teacher Sehrish for recommending a useful website and for all her dedication!

In lesson five, Teacher Sehrish guided me through a listening test to assess my level and explained the key to English listening. I realized that I had taken many wrong turns in the past. The methods I used either helped or hindered me, as I focused solely on expanding my vocabulary rather than understanding the content. This caused me to pay too much attention to each word, making me miss important information.
After the class, I adjusted my listening practice methods, and it made a noticeable difference. By the way, I also realized I had started visualizing corresponding contexts when encountering unfamiliar expressions, which has been really useful and efficient for memorizing them. A big thank you to Teacher Sehrish!
