About Me

I'm a trained economist with a specialization in marketing and tourism and have experience working in logistics, hospitality, banking, and retail sectors. Outside of my professional life I love to spend time outdoors hiking and traveling the world. I also love animals, being creative with crocheting and painting, and most of all, I love being a mother.

Me as a Teacher

While I've never formally worked as an educator, I've had positions as a trainer in various jobs to help up-skill our team with the latest tools of the trade. I've learned various techniques during these trainings to help ensure success of passing on knowledge.

My lessons & teaching style

I really like the "I do, we do, you do" approach to teaching, where I provide an example, then we do the example together, then I let you try to do this on your own. In teaching language I find this very effective, where I create various similar phrases around a topic to demonstrate vocabulary and grammar and how they fit together, giving you a few examples and then letting you form your own phrase. I'm more informal and conversational in my teaching style, focusing more on practicing use of language versus covering the details of grammar for example.
