About Me

As a native English speaker originally from the United States, I am excited to help students become fluent English speakers! I am currently living in Spain as an English teacher for high school students. I have studied languages for most of my academic career and, therefore, my personal experiences learning languages allows for me to understand the effective teaching and learning styles of different students.

Me as a Teacher

As a teacher I am encouraging, efficient, and I like to have fun with my students! Practicing the language is the most important part. Mistakes happen, but I do not let my students become discouraged. The only way to learn is to practice and correct mistakes as the come. My lessons are fun, interesting, and will help English learners become confident in their ability to speak, understand, and write in the English language.

My lessons & teaching style

I rely heavily on conversation between myself and my students. I believe the best way to learn and improve language skills is to converse. I focus on speaking and listening comprehension while developing the necessary foundation of grammar. By speaking, reading short passages, listening to movies and music, and being consistent in our study of the English language, my students will improve upon their fluency and conversational abilities.
