I am a certified English teacher who has taught language my entire career. I also am a language learner as are you. I love traveling to different countries learning about different cultures and practicing new languages. I also am creative and like to use my creativity in my lessons. I believe in a communicative approach and not memorization. All of my material is in context. You can choose whatever approach you would like. I can help you with American pronunciation, also. I like drawing and painting, relaxing while watching a good film or series on tv and I love animals. I do not want to teach students who have never studied English before.Me as a Teacher
I am a teacher who will make you feel very comfortable. After the first few minutes, you will not be nervous with me. My students feel like I am their friend as well as their teacher. I am knowledgeable about all aspects of English. I live In the United States in Philadelphia. I work with my students by carefully correcting their errors of grammar, word order, pronunciation, and accent. I add to their vocabulary, understanding and use of phrasal verbs and idioms. I help to clear up any questions or misunderstandings they may have. I try to make my classes fun and interesting. I love to learn about your culture and teach you about mine.My lessons & teaching style
I have various ways of working with you according to your needs. I subscribe to a site that gives me about 12 new topics every week ,usually with podcasts or videos. With each topic you will have discussions of the topic, vocabulary grammar, exercises if you want. Each topic is specifically for a particular level. Some of this week's topics , for example , were about the World Cup, Survival skills, stress, shopping for clothing, booking a hotel, youngism, IELTS, Medical and Legal English, Being a sports fan , Diego Maradona, etc. I also have a book with dialogues with voc. and grammar. For advanced students we usually have conversations with corrections. You can also mix and match.My teaching material
