Although I’m not a professional teacher, I’m a native English speaker, and I can offer you a relaxed setting in which to practice your conversational English. The main thing is that you speak, and I’ll encourage you to not be afraid of making mistakes. I’ll try to make corrections in a way that least interferes with the conversation.
If you’re an intermediate self-learner of German, my experience could be uniquely useful to you. I essentially taught myself the language to a high level, so I’m well acquainted with the difficulties self-learners face.My lessons & teaching style
My English classes are conversational. I’ll want you to relax and speak without fear of making mistakes. We learn from our mistakes, after all, and I’ll try to make corrections in a way that least disturbs the flow of the conversation. I‘ll let you do most of the talking, and we can talk about any subject that interests you.
If you're learning German, I'm ready to help with any aspect of the language that’s causing you problems. Or, if you’d rather, we can just talk.
I don’t teach beginners or children, and I don‘t offer a structured course in English or German.
All lessons are via Skype.
Please remember that it‘s not possible to cancel a lesson within 24 hours of the lesson time.My teaching material

I've been taking lessons with Allen (but he goes by Al) on italki, and it's been a fantastic experience. Our conversations are always interesting, and he makes sure to point out my mistakes, which we discuss at the end of each lesson.
Al has learned German and Danish, so he understands the language learning process well. As a musician, he has a great ear for pronunciation, which has helped me improve my speaking skills.
I highly recommend Allen to anyone looking to enhance their language abilities with a skilled and attentive teacher!
