Toshi

Dank dem Unterrucht von Toshi-sensei habe ich letztes Jahr den JLPT N2 bestanden. Er erklärt die neuen Grammatikpunkte und das Vokabular sehr detailliert. Nun besuche ich seinen Unterricht zur Vorbereitung auf den N1.

I’ve been taking Japanese lessons with Toshi Sensei since early 2022, while still living in the EU. Initially, I started studying with him to prepare for the JLPT and later also job interviews in Japanese. His lessons were both effective and supportive. Thanks to his guidance, I successfully passed the JLPT N1 in two years, starting from almost zero, all while balancing a full-time job and studies. Toshi Sensei has deep expertise in both the JLPT exam preparation and general teaching Japanese to foreigners. His patience, especially during the early stages when I struggled to form sentences, was a tremendous source of encouragement and confidence. In addition to language instruction, he helped me prepare my Japanese resume and ace job interviews. With his support, I secured an internship and later received two full-time job offers. My Japanese resume consistently received praise from interviewers. I highly recommend his lessons!

Tuve de nuevo una buena experiencia con las clases de Toshi sensei. A lo largo del tiempo que lo he conocido, me ha ayudado a estudiar para el JLPT, a corregir ensayos, practicar oratorias e incluso me ha apoyado con práctica para entrevistas en japonés. Con su ayuda, pude aprobar el JLPT N3 en diciembre del 2022, también obtener premios por esfuerzo por mis ensayos y oratorias, y ahora también, gracias a su guía y apoyo durante todo el proceso, he conseguido la beca MEXT para estudiar mi carrera universitaria en Japón. Toshi sensei worked with me together on new ways of improving my Japanese usage in business setup. We practiced this new way and found it effective. Moreover, sensei introduced me learning resources which I can practice after lesson!

Toshi 先生 was a great help in my last spurt of JLPT N3 studies. Going through past year questions, he explained in great detail of the concept or words i was still confused with. We also focused on areas i am weak at, like 敬語. A few more days to the exam and i feel more confident and ready than before, thanks to Toshi 先生. Would definitely learn under his guidance again if i were to take N2 in the future.

I wanted took 5 Lessons + 1 Trial Lesson with Toshi. I wanted to write a proper review after some time learning together. I really enjoy learning with Toshi as he fit the teaching on my learning goals and needs. As I had previously acquired knowledge of Japanese, he managed to identify quickly where my level is at and continue from there with the proper materials that I started with. He followed my wish to review previous material within one lesson and from the 2nd lesson onwards we started with new material. Within the lesson, we spoke only Japanese, which I am personally used to and appreciate. Careful if you do not wish to learn completely in Japanese. Toshi absolutely speaks on a level which I can understand well, but does not refrain from challenging my boundaries to expand my knowledge. The grammar is always well explained, gives examples and asks me to come up with examples by myself. Then moving into exercises to practice. I definitely would recommend lessons with Toshi.
