Simon

Ik ben erg blij met de lessen van Simon. Hij heeft me erg geholpen met de voorbereiding op het mondelinge gedeelte van het ITNA-examen (waar ik net voor ben geslaagd). Ik vind Simon erg professioneel, goed gestructureerd en motiverend. Hij bracht altijd interessante stof naar de les en ik heb het gevoel dat ik altijd iets nieuws heb geleerd. Er waren altijd thema’s om over te praten. Ik raad de lessen van Simon 100% aan!

Simon is very good at putting the student at ease to speak, including on more technical and advanced topics. He also has an in-depth knowledge of the Dutch language that will be of interest to anyone wanting to go further in their study of the language.

Simon is a teacher by trade and it shows. He is patient, kind and encouraging but, as any teacher should, he listens carefully to what you say, identifying problems and providing excellent feedback. He completely understands the structure of his own language and is able to explain clearly why something is the way it is. He is also funny and interesting in his own right, so you are unlikely to run out of conversation! I can't recommend Simon's lessons enough.

Simon is friendly, has a lot of experience and is very encouraging!

Simon is very friendly and motivating. He uses Google Docs in his lessons which makes the class engaging like using a whiteboard in a classroom. He makes the lessons fun by incorporating games. For example, he would ask me to read the phone numbers in Dutch. Then he would ask me to speak the phone numbers and he would write them down. Then he would ask me if what he wrote was the same as what I said. He would ask me questions in Dutch. For example, where I lived, how old I was. Then he would ask me to ask him the same questions in Dutch. This made the lessons fun and let me know more about him in a effective way. Simon is always very encouraging whenever I say something correctly. For example, whenever I got something correct, he would say, "Perfect." Or "Very good." Or "Your pronunciation is perfect." Or he would say those motivating words in Dutch too. I think it was welg gut or hel gut, I forgot. Anyway, 11/10 book a lesson with Simon and you won't regret it.

Excellent trial class! Simon is clearly a very experienced teacher. He provided good structure and was extremely patient and supportive. Will be back for more classes :)
