About Me

I received my certification from International House London, indicating excellent professionalism and the ability to help students learn an array of speaking, reading, listening and writing skills.
I have been teaching online lessons on italki since 2022. I taught a variety of students of different ages, nationalities, and levels of experience. I'm always excited to work with both complete beginners and seasoned veterans (in Italian or languages in general).
I developed several long-lasting relationships with students, but I never turn away those looking for one-off classes or short bursts of learning. If you don't have a plan, we'll come up with one. If you do, we'll make it happen!My lessons & teaching style
If you're a beginner and have never had formal learning, I recommend you follow my beginner course. We will work through a series of word documents, which contain material taken from various textbooks, as well as some original exercises. They will give you plenty of vocabulary and grammar rules, which are always introduced in the proper context. I'm open to using English with beginners if necessary!
With experienced students who want to continue their formal learning, we should first have a conversation about your level and make a plan. Otherwise, try conversation practice, where we have fluid (but generally structured) conversations about Italian culture, language, and topics of interest!My teaching material

I booked this lesson so that I could make this new review. I started learning Italian from 0 with Francesco. After taking ~200 lessons with Francesco, I have passed the Cils B1 test with 84/100. Don’t be intimidated by the 200. Most of them were only 30 mins because I think it’s better to study short time everyday than do two 1hour lesson a week.
I am glad that I stick with Francesco and it definitely paid off. I almost never revise or study outside of my lessons with him so I’m very satisfied with the result.
Passing the exam is not the end, I am now more independent as a learner and I’ll carry on the journey by myself.

I've already had a couple lessons with Francesco and so far the experience has been enjoyable and productive! I started with just a bit of previous knowledge (from watching videos or listening to music in Italian), and I already feel comfortable enough to produce some sentences. This is mainly due to the relaxed environment and the easy to follow exercises that Francesco prepares before every lesson. I highly recommend him if you're a complete beginner. Also, one of my requests was to focus on restaurant service and so far we've covered things that I've been able to apply at work with native Italian customers. Thanks!

I've now completed 20+ lessons with Francesco and it has been wonderful. We have made great progress in both the organized curriculum- which he enlivens with games and creative exercieses - and he also has been very generous in helping me with specific, work focused needs. He pays careful attention to where I need assistance and always seems to have a worksheet, table or exercise at his fingertips to review or clarify anything that comes up. While pushing me forward, he has also displayed immense patience as I make the same errors again and again! I recommend him higlhly.
