Hi there! My name is Lily and I am language teacher. Graduated at Sofia University as Philologist and Foreign Languages Teacher, on Italki I teach Bulgarian as a foreign language.
Bulgarian is my native language, although I dominate Spanish at the same level and I have an intermediate level of English. I enjoy traveling, learning and connecting with different cultures and people.Me as a Teacher
I follow a structured teaching methodology but I took the freedom to play and adapt it to the needs and level of each student.
As a teacher I am kind and cheerful. I have the gift of patience and positivity. My priority is to create an atmosphere of motivating and fun learning, although I am also demanding. I like to put challenges, since I believe in the potential of my students so I involve them to the fullest in class.My lessons & teaching style
I work by levels, according to the European Languages Framework. I adapt my classes to 3 different levels of students: beginners A1, Intermediate A2 and advanced B1-B2. The methodology and materials I use are specific for the different levels.
I work only with committed and constant students, since Bulgarian's learning plan is intensive and constancy is the key.
After presenting each lesson I keep the focus on practical examples. I use visual, reading and listening content to present the use in different contexts. We work the grammatical structures with schemes and activities and then dedicate the last part of the class to speaking practice and games, based on the learned content.My teaching material

Lily is positive, encouraging, and systematic. She has a talent for explaining new words and concepts using lots of synonyms and related words, which is great for learning and making linguistic connections.
