Hi! Kumusta? :) My name is Marisol. I'm a Filipino, and Tagalog is my mother tongue. I teach American Sign Language too, as I use it in doing volunteer work. I love teaching various learners and guiding them as they make progress in learning new languages. Aside from teaching, I also enjoy travelling to different countries and learning about different cultures. I also love doing photography, playing my kalimba, playing with my cats, building websites, writing my book, solving Math problems, and coding.

Me as a Teacher
I taught in a public high school for nine years. Currently, I work as an online teacher - teaching learners from different countries and backgrounds and of different ages. I've helped several learners grow from being an absolute beginner to being able to effectively communicate in the Filipino and American Sign languages.
My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is student-centered. I guide my students throughout their learning journey by focusing on their individual interests and needs. I cater to their learning style/s as well. My classroom is mostly relaxed but learning-filled.
I have prepared materials for different learners and I make sure to know each student's needs first so I can adapt to their learning needs and styles. I also use different technology and platforms to make learning more fun. When my students need to focus on certain weaknesses or reinforce some strengths, I also help them improve on those.

Marisol was outstanding in her presentation of the language to a beginner. She carefully outlined the path that we will take to grasp the basics filled with games and reviews along the way. Most of all, she creates a friendly learning environment for your success.
