Emelie

Another superb lesson with Emelie. We spent some time reviewing work from the previous week and talking generally about language learning. Then, we went through a lesson plan she had prepared in Miro, which was useful to reinforce things I already knew, as well as identify gaps in my knowledge. Emelie's expertise shines through during lessons—she has a natural way of explaining terms, giving examples, and connecting ideas. She's also very patient and understanding, which I appreciate because I'm still finding my feet with the language. Emelie's encouragement helps enormously too!

Emelie’s very passionate about teaching and always comes super prepared for each lesson. While still very new to Swedish, I'm amazed at how quickly she was able to help me get up to speed with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I really like how she deconstructs the learning process into basic concepts. By our third lesson, I was able to start writing sentences in Swedish! Tack så mycket

Just had my first lesson with Emelie and I really enjoyed her approach to the lesson. From a technical standpoint, I was impressed—both in terms of her subject matter expertise, as well as the teaching system she has developed. From a personal standpoint, I had fun and learned a lot. Emelie struck a balance between explaining and facilitating, so I gained some new insights and got the opportunity to practice.

Emelie is a very enthusiastic teacher and a wonderful person! Her "gamifyed" lesson was a ton of fun, I left with a huge smile on my face. She created a safe and encouraging atmosphere for me--a beginner--to speak Swedish even on our first meeting. Thank you so much for this class!!

Just enjoyed a fantastic lesson with Emelie. She had prepared some superb learning materials to guide me through the differences between transitive and intransitive verbs, which allowed us to seamlessly transition into the various Swedish words for 'putting' (e.g., sätta/sitta, ställa/står, lägga/ligga). Learning a language is tough, but Emelie's design and delivery make it easier (and enjoyable). Tack, Emelie.

It was fun to have a class with Emelie as she has a good plan to teach and we can easily get into conversations about a wide variety of topics. She is eager to make the class developmental but at the same time enjoyable for both of us. Thanks!
