I'm on a mission to help you acquire Greek in the most fun and easy way using the Natural Way. I am here to support all lovers of Greece and Cyprus who desire to communicate in this beautiful language! Hi, my name is Elena! I’m married to my wonderful husband, and together we are proud parents to our beautiful daughter. We live surrounded by nature in Tuscany, Italy, where daily walks in the forest are a cherished part of our routine. I have a deep love for dancing and a strong connection to my spiritual path. The sea is my happy place—I take long walks on the beach in every season. I also love meeting people from different cultures, which is why I have friends all over the globe!

Me as a Teacher

The Natural way of learning and teaching a language has shifted my life as a language teacher. I'm a patient and encouraging teacher who loves making language learning enjoyable and stress-free. My lessons are fun, engaging, and tailored to your needs, interests, and goals—whether that’s your hobbies, job, or daily life. Many of my students say they’ve regained confidence and finally feel comfortable using the language after taking my lessons! Stephen Krashen always says that the one and only way to acquire language is to understand the messages we receive. If you're looking for a supportive teacher who will make learning fun and effective, I’d love to support your journey!

My lessons & teaching style

I use gestures, act things out, or draw to help you understand. My goal is to offer you COMPREHENSIBLE INPUT that is fun, rich and interesting. Our goal is to stay away from English as much as possible—we'll only use it for emergencies or quick translations when necessary. I don’t focus on teaching grammar rules explicitly. Research shows that the brain needs 40-50 meaningful repetitions of vocabulary or grammatical structures (comprehensible input) for long-term retention. Instead of drilling grammar, I provide just a touch of it because we all acquire language naturally, just like children do. Our time together is golden. Language cannot be acquired in isolation—that’s why you’re here!

Elena is a superb teacher. While new to italki, she is not new to teaching Greek as a foreign language. She is an energetic and encouraging teacher. She even has a YouTube channel with over 50 excellent videos using the comprehensible input approach (search for comprehensible Greek Elena and you will find them). You will not regret signing up for a class.
