Hi! I'm Lina, and I am from northern Afghanistan, now living in Pakistan. My native language is Persian or Dari, but I also speak Pashto, English and some German. I've reached my final year of studying for a degree in engineering, and in my spare time I like to read all kinds of books, and to take photos of the natural world.Me as a Teacher
Recently I have been teaching Persian/Dari online to English native speakers. I am an experienced teacher, with over six years' experience teaching English as a foreign language to both adults and children, including four years' full time.My lessons & teaching style
I always plan my lessons carefully, and will use a variety of teaching materials and methods as appropriate to your needs. I am a very empathetic person, so I'll adapt to your learning pace.
My classes will be very dynamic, fun and conversational to make sure you have a good time while you learn this language. Depending on your goals and interests, we can include cultural topics such traditions, food, music and popular media.

I have just had a trial lesson with Lina as I need to learn some Dari for work. She was very friendly and well prepared. She was also happy to answer any questions I had and to change her plans to meet my needs. I am looking forward to our next meeting and already feel like I've learned so much.

Learning Dari from Lina is a delight, and our lessons always seem to pass in a blink. After just two lessons, I'm already planning to take more. The first lesson, a quick 30 minutes, was a great start, but it left me eager for more. The second, a more substantial 45 minutes, ended with me feeling like I had learned a lot. Lina's friendly approach and her varied focus on grammar, vocabulary, informal/formal language, and sentences/phrases keep me excited about the learning process.
I look forward to booking more lessons and will try 1-hour lessons instead because she makes learning Dari enjoyable.
