My name is Bryana! I love travelling and learning different cultures and ways of life. I am passionate about languages, art, science, and learning in general. I am passionate about art, travelling, and helping people achieve their goals!
I have been involved in a volunteer program to teach Deaf individuals for 12 years. I also trained Deaf individuals to find and maintain work. This has helped me become proficient in conversational ASL and has lead to lasting friendships within the community.Me as a Teacher
American Sign Language is a passion of mine and I hope to impart those same feelings to those who are learning this beautiful language! I have tutored many to help improve their vocabulary, receptive skills, classifiers, and conversational ASL.
I want to help my students become comfortable with the language and confident to use it. I want to create a relaxed and comfortable learning environment where my students can grow their language skills.
I have experience in tutoring children, adults, and adults with learning challenges and disabilities. My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is patient, I want my students to feel confident with the language. Since ASL is a visual language I will be using pictures, demonstrations, videos, and drawing to help my students think in ASL.My teaching material

Bryana is an absolutely incredible ASL teacher. Her lessons are well paced and full of information. She offers resources outside of class, such as useful videos on bettering one's ability to sign or knowledge of Deaf culture. After every lesson, she sends a document with a brief review of the lesson, some suggestions for practice, & notes for what will come next. Her teaching is very well organized without feeling rigid and she is a fun conversation partner. It's a blessing to have such a patient and encouraging sign language teacher. I strongly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn ASL!

Learning with Bryana for nearly a month, I can already sign a lot. Bryana is always so patient and kind, she practises with me during the lesson and I got a lot of chances to practise what I've learnt. Bryana would give me feedback and answer my questions. Our lessons are productive, relaxing, and fun at the same time. I feel very lucky to have found Bryana as my ASL teacher on italki.

Bryana is an incredible ASL teacher! She is super patient and encouraging and creates a comfortable environment for making mistakes and learning. I started lessons with her as a beginner with limited ASL knowledge, and she adapted to my level quickly. She is very organized and sends vocabulary and grammar reviews after each lesson for you to study at your convenience. I feel that I have made good progress with the language and feel much more comfortable signing with others. If you're even a bit curious about ASL, I highly recommend taking some classes with Bryana!
