I am a BA Languages graduate doing a postgraduate degree in Interpreting in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am in love with language learning and currently have 5 under my belt! (Eng, Bg, It, Esp, Fr)
I am born into an Italian family on my mother's side and a Bulgarian one on my father's side. When I was 7 years old my parents and I moved to Bulgaria where I learned the language in school. This was difficult because I had absolutely no clue what people were talking about...for a solid 6 months. But, once I learned the language, I spent time learning Italian, French, and Spanish.
I dream of being a successful interpreter and traveling to new places to help join others in conversation.Me as a Teacher
Teaching my students and friends how to speak languages has been something that naturally occurred from a young age. My friends' parents would have their kids practice English with me and once I went to university, I started teaching Italian and Bulgarian privately.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your students improve on their speaking and grasp more and more with each lesson. I love to facilitate that learning for my students and make it as fun as possible. Jokes are never set aside!My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is personalized, gentle, and thorough. I analyze how my students can learn best in each moment and provide them with a relevant style of teaching. Some days you want to have the chance to think about an answer and on others you need a bit more guidance. I will move at your desired pace & provide you with the most essential learning materials.

Kristina is an amazing teacher!
After our first lesson I could already recognise letters and sound out sentences. The class was highly enjoyable, and we went at the perfect pace. If I battled with anything, Kristina was very patient and provided alternative explanations.
I highly recommend learning Bulgarian with Kristina!

Kristina is attentive to student needs. She makes sure to ask me questions relevant to the material that I have already studied and corrects me at appropriate times.
