I am Asteris and I grew up in 80s-90s Athens, Greece. I have spent a big part of my adult life living abroad, in Spain, and now in Germany, where I have been living for the past 5 years. I love travels, cooking(eating!!!) and playing music, namely guitar, harmonica and percussion. I have always loved learning languages and getting in touch with different cultures. Through my different encounters I have gathered a few expressions and basic words, in a number of languages, some close to the ones I know and some completely irrelevant. The way I approached my learning process, has always been basing it on interests and necessities at each time, my goal being firstly to communicate and connect!Me as a Teacher
I love language learning but sometimes, I lack the discipline to sit and write an essay, or study grammatical forms. I have explored various ways of tackling with this problem, implementing things I like to do, like for example watching a favorite film, but with the dubbing of the language I want to practice, or deciding to analyze lyrics to a song I like in this language! This is the type of playful energy I try to have in my classes. I am here as a teacher, but from the perspective of a fellow language learner, who wants to share some tricks and accompany you to advance faster on your learning trip!My lessons & teaching style
One does not have to be fluent in a language to get across the message effectively and that is the premise on which I base my lessons. The basic goal of my classes (at any level you might be) is to improve your communication skills in Greek, and gather a personalized handbook of vocabulary and expressions, based on your every day needs. I want you to start using the things you know and then keep building on top the rest.My teaching material
