Iโm a Korean tutor with 8 years of experience. I majored in Korean and completed my training in Korean language education. Currently, I am a graduate student studying Korean Language Education at Ewha Womans Universityโs Graduate School of Foreign Language Education. Over the past 8 years, I have taught students from various countries, finding great fulfillment in sharing my knowledge and growing together with them. My teaching style focuses primarily on speaking, so I incorporate a variety of speaking activities that encourage students to practice as much as possible. I also assign homework and provide detailed notes from each class to help reinforce learning and ensure continuous progress.
I conduct my classes using a variety of textbooks and PowerPoint presentations. To facilitate students' review, I share review materials through screenshots and Google Docs. Outside of class hours, I am available to answer questions via messenger and email. Additionally, I provide personal assistance whenever a student needs help with Korean!My teaching material

Korean Teacher Training Program - Level 3 - newM - 2018As I started teaching English, my desire to teach Korean as a native speaker grew stronger, leading me to begin a Korean language teacher certification course. It was a valuable experience, allowing me to study both the Korean language itself and teaching methods. Most importantly, the practical experience of conducting demonstration lessons taught me how to structure lessons and guide students, making it very practical.

TESOL - Hanyang University - Graduate School - 2015After volunteering to teach English in Brazil, I developed an interest in language education and completed a TESOL certification course. Through the intensive program, I built knowledge and practical skills by participating in presentations, discussions, assignments, exams, and demonstration lessons. The knowledge I gained during that time is now being applied in my Korean language classes.

Online TutorAfter completing the Korean language teacher certification course in Korea, I started tutoring Korean in Australia. Teaching students from diverse backgrounds in Australia allowed me to grow alongside them. Even after returning to Korea, Iโm still teaching the students I started with back then through online lessons. Thanks to this, I enjoy teaching every day!

Volunteer teacherWhen I was in university, I went to Brazil for overseas volunteer work and began teaching language to children in rural areas for the first time. It was then that I realized I had an interest in teaching. Since then, I have continued to teach English and Korean with consistent passion :)
2018 - 2019
Korean TeacherWhile tutoring in Australia, I also taught Korean at a private school. Most of my students were Chinese, and teaching at an institution was a new and exciting experience for me. The studentsโ enthusiasm and dedication made the classes even more enjoyable and engaging!

Bachelorโs - Korean Language, English LanguageI was fortunate to be able to choose 'language,' a long-time interest of mine, as my university major. Over the course of four years, I was able to explore Korean and English, as well as Korean literature and British/American literature. Each class has been an incredible boost to my progress. I genuinely feel like Iโm achieving more in a single session than I could in an entire month of studying on my own. Heejung ์ ์๋ is a fun, encouraging and patient teacher. She prepared interesting exercises in our first class to better understand my level and also explained in detail grammar points that I had trouble with.

My first Korean lesson with Heejung was a fantastic introduction to the language, thanks to her patience and personalized teaching style. Despite it being my initial lesson, Heejung was incredibly understanding and took the time to focus on areas where I struggled.
