Hello! I'm Julieta, a passionate Spanish teacher from Colombia. Originally from Medellín, but now living in Bogotá, I love exploring my country’s breathtaking natural beauty and sharing these unique experiences with my students.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me staying active, spending time with my family and my dog, or in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes and cooking delicious dishes from around the world.
I studied Linguistics at the National University of Colombia, and I’m passionate about learning new languages and discovering different cultures through the magic of language. Let’s explore the world of Spanish together!Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I’m known for my flexibility and my ability to adapt to the individual pace and needs of each student. Whether your focus is on improving conversation skills, reviewing grammar, or diving into a specific book, I tailor each lesson to what you want to achieve.
I also believe that understanding a language goes hand in hand with understanding its culture, so I always include insights into Hispanic culture in my classes. Above all, I’m incredibly patient and respectful of each person’s unique learning process, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported every step of the way.My lessons & teaching style
In my lessons, I start with a quick review of the most important vocabulary before diving into practice. I believe it’s essential to mix theory with real-life situations so that you can see how everything connects and applies in the real world. I also make sure to use topics and examples that match your interests, whether it’s sports, movies, food, or business.
I’m very patient and adapt to each person’s pace, so there’s no need to feel pressured or nervous. Remember, mistakes are just stepping stones to reaching your goals! For me, the most important thing is communication. So, don’t worry about being perfect all the time; what matters is that we’re able to express ourselves and connect.My teaching material

Julieta is such a fantastic instructor. She has been able to quickly assess what is my current Spanish level, and help me start to work on high yield aspects which I struggle with. She uses different resources to help keep the class engaging, and remembers the lesson plan from session to session to make sure there is continual growth. I highly recommend Julieta.

I’ve had several Spanish teachers before, but none have compared to Julieta. She is incredibly patient, engaging, and truly makes learning Spanish enjoyable. Every class with her has been a joy, and she has a way of making even complex topics feel approachable.
As someone with a unique learning style who sometimes needs breaks during lessons, I deeply appreciate how accommodating she is. She adapts to my needs without hesitation, creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment.
Beyond her teaching skills, Julieta is just a wonderful person to talk to. I love our conversations about cultural differences and the nuances of language. I’m honestly not looking forward to the day when I know enough Spanish to no longer need her lessons.
If you’re looking for a teacher who is patient, knowledgeable, and makes learning fun, I can’t recommend Julieta enough.

Gracias Julieta! Great first lesson. Julieta took her time with understanding what level of Spanish I was working at, and adjusted the lesson accordingly. She was very patient with my questions and was sure to tell me when I did well which was reassuring. Looking forward to the next lesson and many more thereafter!

Julieta is a positive and patient instructor. She was punctual and encouraging throughout the lesson. We played a questions game for the majority of the lesson so that she could gauge my level. She provided materials and a plan of action for work outside of the lesson and in preparation for the next lessons.
