10 Years Experience | 📚 CELPIP / IELTS Certified 📃 As a CELPIP™ and IELTS™ certified teacher with 9 years of experience, I specialize in helping students master Canadian English for tests, work, or daily life. Born in Toronto and raised in Newfoundland, I bring firsthand knowledge of Canada’s dialects and cultural differences—perfect for learners aiming for fluency with a local touch. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me reading about history, cooking food, or sipping specialty coffee. My love for language and culture extends beyond the classroom—let’s make your English journey as engaging as we can! Learning Template: rb.gy/l1zmvc My Goal My aim is to help you practice English as much as you need. I believe a great teacher listens carefully, so I’ll focus on understanding your strengths and areas for improvement. Unlike many native speakers who may overlook mistakes, I’ll gently correct errors to help you grow and refine your skills. My Career After completing my education, I worked in various roles in Canada, including construction, cleaning, and five years as a cook. In 2016, I began teaching English after getting married. With 8 years of experience on Italki, I’ve developed the skills to effectively support your English learning journey. I provide specialized lessons for the CELPIP™ English language test. As a certified IELTS™ coach, I’ll equip you with the strategies, practice, and insights needed to achieve your target score. Let’s work together to reach your goals!

Shane is flexible, patient and considerate, which makes learning feel comfortable and encouraging :) He has a great way of teaching you how to develop ideas and structure your answers consistently, even when you can’t think of anything to say. His strategies make it easier to respond naturally instead of getting stuck. I’m SO glad I chose him to prepare for my exam.
