About Me

Apart from teaching English, I am also an editor and published fantasy author. I spend my days teaching, writing, and editing.
I have an MA (Master's) in Creative Writing, and a BA hons (Bachelor's with Honours) in Fine Art. I have been writing fantasy and sci-fi for over a decade and more recently I have been blogging about fantasy and editing.
When not at my desk proofreading and writing, I enjoy walks with my wife, Dungeons & Dragons, reading, and cooking Indian, Chinese, and Thai food.
I have lived and worked in China and Poland, and travelled widely - especially around Northern India and South-East Asia.Me as a Teacher
I teach adults (18+) only. I aim to give you confidence with speaking, plenty of practice in class, and feedback on your grammar, spelling, punctuation, and pronunciation.
I am friendly and relaxed. My classes are always fun. I love to share hints and tips about learning effectively, and to talk about topics that interest my students, using the knowledge gained from being a professional writer and editor.
I'm CELTA certified, and have been teaching since 2011. I've lived and taught in both China and Poland and have met all kinds of people since I started teaching, picking up valuable experience and tips from students and other teachers along the way.My lessons & teaching style

I had a very good experience with Marek editing my speech. Marek not only taught me useful writing concepts and techniques, but he also gave me great feedback on how to make the speech better. He is a great writer who understands not only the core message but also the underlying emotions I want to convey through my speech.
