Great lesson with Ziyu! We talked a lot about various topics related to visiting the doctor/hospital. I described how it is in the US, while Ziyu explained how it is in Germany and in China. It seems like there are some significant differences. Ziyu is always good to talk with..my listening and speaking has improved because of her!

Great lesson with Ziyu! We talked about a lot of things - including "snow birds" and parents in China moving to the city for work. Ziyu also told me about some interesting things about government workers serving in the countryside. Ziyu also allows me time to think through my sentences, which helps me come up with better sentences in conversation!

Great lesson with Ziyu! We talked about the Liberty Bell and I explained that it's cracked and that people aren't allowed to touch it anymore. We also talked about housing costs, starter homes and the difficult work load that some people have. We finished by talking about the recent "TikTok refugee" phenomenon. It was a very interesting discussion, since Ziyu shared some stories of people she knows as examples!

Ziyu's really friendly and helpful. It felt natural talking to her and I didn't feel self conscious about my mistakes, and I learned a lot of new phrases.
