Hello! I'm Tamara :)
Apart from teaching German on Italki I also work as a freelance conference interpreter. In spring 2020 I finished my PhD thesis about the communicative competence in German of Spanish Translation and Interpreting students.
In my freetime I like to read all sorts of books, learn about psychology and personal development, spend time with friends and family, do some yoga and play with my dog, Blacky. Since I love being in nature, my favourite sport is hiking!Me as a Teacher
I'm patient, calm, friendly and encouraging. I don't want you to be afraid of making mistakes. It's the only way you can progress. That's why I'll do my best to make you feel comfortable.My lessons & teaching style
If you wish to go through and complete a whole level (A1, A2, B1, etc.) I usually work with text books that will provide an organised structure for the course. Here we will cover grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading, writing and listening. Normally I suggest listening, reading and writing tasks as homework, so that we can focuss on speaking and learning new grammar and vocabulary during the lesson.
With students who are not interested in doing a structured course I often use texts, videos o selected grammar exercises to broaden the vocabulary of the student, enhance his or her fluency and improve their grammar.
However, I'm always flexible and can easily adapt to your needs and wishes.My teaching material

Another excellent lesson with Tamara. I enjoyed the focus on speaking exercises, and her lesson notes are really easy to read and complement the textbook material nicely, which effortlessly integrates and reinforces the lesson content. Well, it was great. I never put a negative review to anybody, event if he or she is disastrous, but in this case, sincerely, it was very comfortable, and knowing that she is partly spanish and that she lives in Spain, this changes a lot of things. Probably she will be selected after summer amongst my 2-3 favourite teachers.
