Ken

Highly recommended! Ken is simply fantastic. He has a natural gift for teaching and can explain what appear to be the most complex things in memorable and easy-to-digest gems. Before, I was even not able to converse with English speakers, while, after learning with Ken, guess what, I’m giving lectures in English!!! Classes with Ken have been so worthwhile!!!

Ken has been an absolutely incredible teacher all the way from minute 1. This is a great example for “Functional Japanese”. He knows how people speak Japanese, great ways to practice, as well as making it enjoyable. Learning from Ken is not a chore. If you are attempting to learn Japanese I HIGHLY recommend Ken. Fun, efficient and rewarding.

Ken was great as an instructor. I worked with him on Japanese lessons ahead of a holiday to Japan. His teaching style resonated with me, lots of questions on my learning goals, knowledge of the language and cultural context of when to use words and phrases.

Ken has been a very patient teacher for over a year and half now. He has challenged me to take the JLPT and is always very encouraging. By far, he is the best Italki teacher I've had!

We went over a book I bought to read to my child but was regrettably outside of my current ability. It was a great and informative lesson - I can't wait to read to my son!

Another great lesson with Ken-sensei! I'm finding I'm more and more able to understand what he's saying and slowly getting a bit more confident to speak myself and can't wait for my next lesson! He's always patient and fun to talk to and learn with!
