About Me

Hi there! This is Verónica :) I’m a certified Spanish Teacher from Spain. I lived in the USA for 6 years so I know the struggle of speaking all day in your second language. I'm also a language learner just like you, that's why I understand the importance of creating a relaxed environment.
Six years ago I started learning English and I discovered my passion for language learning.
Learning a new language has taught me more about myself, and others, and it has given me another way to see the world since language involves culture as well. I have lived in the USA for the past 6 years, so I know the struggle of expressing yourself in your target language.
Me as a Teacher
I became a teacher because I love interacting with people, learning about different cultures, and helping others, so I thought that becoming a teacher would be a great way to put all of this together.
I hold an ELE certification Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and I have learned many different teaching approaches and methods in order to best help students to reach their goals.
I have a good equipped to provide you with the best quality during our sessions.My lessons & teaching style
I like to use a communicative approach in my lessons.
The courses that I offer:
They're flexible, accessible, and aimed at learners at the levels A1 and A2 (My Spanish Trip) and B1 Booster (for intermediate learners).
They're intensive programs to help you maintain focus and set clear goals.
As a student you'll have access to grammar videos and PDFs with the explanations and exercises. Also we'll have a 45 min videocall-session every week (10 sessions in total).
"Subjuntivo Punk": In this session, we’ll work on the subjunctive using the latest cognitive grammar insights.

Veronica is a great teacher - she brings so much energy to each class. She also makes you feel comfortable and is very easy to talk to - but also makes sure to stay focused on what you want to improve on most. I would definitely recommend Veronica!

Today we worked on the subjunctive and how the meaning of certain phrases changes when the subjunctive is used.
Veronica's ability to switch into English and explain complicated concepts or translate phrases into colloquial English (or back into Spanish) is a superpower. When I'm truly stuck, she instantly provides a lifeline in English and gets me back on track quickly.
In this class, we also mixed foundational grammar with current events and some realistic colloquial Spanish. The combination is excellent and super useful.
As always, the class was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to more.
