Hi, I’m Tim, I’m a British English teacher and I have more than 10 years experience teaching English. I specialise in helping students at a pre-intermediate to advanced level become more confident, fluent English users with a special focus on preparing candidates for the IELTS test.
As well as having a passion for teaching, I'm a keen traveller, and love the outdoors. I've lived and travelled a lot in South America and Asia, and like to spend as much time as I can in the mountains or sea.Me as a Teacher
Starting in 2009, I gave general and business English lessons to groups and individuals in Argentina, working for a prestigious language school. This included personal coaching for several company directors in two multi-nationals based in the city.
In 2011 I began giving online English classes, and since leaving Argentina in 2012 I have focused on this completely. Over the past several years I've developed a speaking focused approach to online classes, and am a highly proficient online ESL teacher.
I'm an expert on the Cambridge English examinations, primarily IELTS, and have completed Cambridge English Examinations Training.My lessons & teaching style
I want you to practice speaking English as much as possible, so all classes are speaking focused. For IELTS candidates, I have organised a 20 unit course designed to help intermediate level students (bands 5.5 - 6.5) to reach the more advanced levels (bands 7 - 8).
In addition to IELTS preparation, for intermediate to advanced level students I offer special speaking focused discussion lessons, which allow you to develop your vocabulary, learn natural English (including phrasal verbs and idioms), and really focus on speaking.My teaching material

English TeacherAfter completing the CELTA English teaching qualification in International House, Buenos Aires, I worked as a Freelance English teacher giving private one-to-one classes to individual students living in the city.

Vehicle Acquisition SupervisorI managed a team in the Vehicle Acquisition Department in the EU HQ of Enterprise Rent-A-Car. We handled various accounting and IT analytical processes for the UK, Ireland and Germany subsidiaries.
