Born and bred in Westphalia., Germany, I have taught some 8000 lessons in both German and English. A voice actress in LA has trusted my accent coaching for two years (featured in my video). I have lived in Ireland and The Netherlands and have a background in business and information technology with US software companies. I studied English at university.

As a coach, I help people to reach their private or professional goals or to improve whatever they would like to improve on. I was certified by a Professor of Education in Germany (Helmut-Schmidt-University, Hamburg).

I love playing with words and discovering similarities between languages. I love "etymology" and I love explaining grammar.

My style is consultative rather than by the book. I try to gauge your level, ask you what works and listen super well to find out what we need to work on. I am not a teacher, I make you better. You decide how hard you will learn and I will step it up or slow it down.

I've been learning German at the C1 level and my colleague at the B1 level with Rüdiger, and we just want to say he's an amazing teacher! We've already had over 35 lessons with him and we're definitely sticking with him for more.
What's great about Rüdiger is how patient he is. No matter how tricky the topic, he explains things in a way that just makes sense. He always comes up with fun examples that really stick in your mind. And the best part? Whether it's grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation, He really gets what we need to work on.
We've already seen a huge improvement in our German skills since starting with Rüdiger. It’s clear he knows his stuff, and he makes learning feel less like a chore and more like something we look forward to.

Rüdiger und ich arbeiten seit fast 18 Monaten zusammen. Ich hatte am Anfang sehr wenig Deutschkentnisse, aber kann Heute ein Gespräch führen und ein Text geschrieben. Rüdiger ist immer geduldig, hat oft ein Talent für Erklärung und ist nie übermäßig ernst. Sprachen lernen soll Spaß machen und Rüdiger hilft mir dabei.
