Hello ambitious language learners, thank you so much for reading my profile:)
My name is Manaka, feel free to me Manaka-sensei (sensei means "teacher" in Japanese).
I was born and grew up in Yokohama which is very close to Tokyo, so I speak with standard Japanese accent.
I have travelled & lived in lots of different countries such as UK and Nepal:)
I love learning foreign languages and cultures.
Recently, I am studying French and Chinese mandarin.
I believe learning foreign languages is an amazing experience which lets you see the world in a different way!Me as a Teacher
The most important thing for my lessons is communication. I make your own lesson curriculum based on your goals, strengths and weaknesses.
I have the certificate of official Japanese teacher and have been trained volunteering as a Japanese teacher.
I understand the difficulties of starting to learn a new language, so I try to make the lessons enjoyable so that you can continue learning. I would also like you to find out more about Japanese culture to make your future experience in Japan fruitful!My lessons & teaching style
I offer you different types of lessons based on your current levels and goals.

Teaching materials and lesson schedules will be shared via google drive. You will also have some opportunities to communicate with other students.
If you are taking my lesson for the first time, go for the trial or 30-minutes conversation lesson. We will do a quick level check and decide your study plan. After that, you will be able to book any types of lessons or purchase packages.

I've been studying Japanese since the start of February this year and without Manaka Sensei i wouldn't be anywhere near where i am. I still have a very long way to go, but i honestly couldn't image having a better teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable, very patient and she adapts lessons to your needs. She is very organised, professional and polite. Thank you sooooo much Manaka Sensei!!! I look forward to many more lessons to come.

Manaka-san is a FANTASTIC teacher! If you are looking for an excellent Japanese teacher to study search no further. She is VERY patient and KIND correcting all my mistakes and explains everything very clearly to me. She goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching! Very awesome teacher! Alot of fun! とても楽しかった!

Manaka sensei knows the material very well. I'm taking her class to review the Genki textbook, and the lessons are going swimmingly! Definitely recommend her lessons especially if you feel rusty & want to brush up a bit.
