Hi, I'm Joanna!
I'm originally from Poland but I currently live in Malaga in the south of Spain. Polish is my mother tongue, but because I lived in London for several years, I am also fluent in English. In addition, because of where I live now, I am also learning Spanish.
I love travelling, especially to Asia, and I can't live without sport: I run, lift weights and train Fitboxing, which is popular in Spain.
In my free time I also read books, preferably psychological and developmental ones, but also crime fiction for entertainment.
I work in marketing, social media and event organisation. I love planning, working with people and all other creative activities.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I am understanding and patient. I believe that there are no stupid questions and that it is better to ask something even ten times and finally understand it, than not to ask at all and remain in ignorance.My lessons & teaching style
I will tailor each lesson to your needs and interests, as well as the learning style that suits you best.
We will focus primarily on conversation, as I know from experience that this is the best way to memorise and break down the speaking barrier. We can also practice reading, solving grammar tasks, writing texts - it's all up to you and we'll discuss on the first meeting!My teaching material

I have done over 100 lessons now on iTalki and my first lesson with Joanna was definitely my favourite lesson!
We had so much fun and made some really good and I finally felt like today I made some real progress with my Polish for the first time in months of self-teaching and random lessons where I had time.
Joanna is flexible with her schedule and makes a great effort to accommodate all students.

Wonderful experience! I really enjoyed our first session. We had so much fun talking. Joanna radiates positive energy and made me feel completely at ease despite my pretty poor Polish. When I was struggling finding the right word, she would often be on point with her helpful suggestions and explanations. So it was possible to avoid switching to English most of the time, which made the conversation not only fun and interesting but also super efficient. Thanks a lot and looking forward to our next session. Highly recommend!
